Priest Lake Homes for Sale

Priest Lake, often called Idaho’s crown jewel is the northerly most lake located in the Idaho Panhandle.  The lake is one of the largest in Northern Idaho (third behind Pend Oreille and Couer d’alene.  Simply spectacular, this pristine lake with its white sandy beaches and wide variety of wildlife both in and around the lake offer year round recreational opportunities.  The primary lake, lower Priest, is 19 miles long and is over 300 feet deep and offers crystal clear water.   Upper Priest more remote and accessible only by boat or trail (hiking, mountain biking)  is connected by a 2.5 mile thoroughfare to lower Priest lake.  Truly a 4 season area, summers are generally warm with temperatures typically in the mid 80’s, swimming and boating are favorite pastimes.  Fall brings a beautiful change of color to even the tamarack conifer mistaken by many as a pine tree and other deciduous trees. Winters bring lots of snow with on average sixty inches (1.5 m) of precipitation falls in the mountains around the lake each year with almost half of that coming in the form of snow. Cross country skiing and snowmobiling are popular winter activities.  Spring time is always welcome with new green budding everywhere and lots of new young wildlife to be found.

Homes along the lake and secondary waterfront homes are available in all price ranges. Some of the most spectacular homes on any of our North Idaho lakes can be found along the shores of Priest Lake in the towns of Coolin (east side) and Nordman (west side).  Priest Lake Golf Course rounds out the recreational activities.   Camping, fishing, boating, swimming, hiking, golfing, cross country skiing, snowmobiling as well as just sunbathing and relaxing on the sandy beaches- – can all be found at Priest Lake.   A perfect place for you and your family to get away from it all.
