Schweitzer Mountain is a wonderful destination for families in the Pacific Northwest! Known for its stunning views of Sandpoint, Lake Pend Oreille, and Canada, it’s the largest ski and snowboard mountain in Idaho. With 2900 acres of terrain, and 300 inches of powder per year on average, 92 designated trails, it also offers 32 kilometers of Nordic trails for snowshoeing and cross-country skiing in winter. After a day of activities, enjoy shopping, dining, or a relaxing spa experience. In the summer, there are even more adventures to be had, including hiking, mountain biking, huckleberry picking, disc golf, tennis, a climbing wall, a bungee jump trampoline, and a long zip line! Plus, you can try horseback riding, snowmobiling, and backcountry ski tours through Mountain Horse Adventures and Selkirk Powder Company. There’s truly something for everyone at Schweitzer!
