The Club at Black Rock to be featured in the 2012 Sports Illustrated Golf Calendar
Sports Illustrated announced today that The Club at Black Rock, Coeur d'Alene's premier golf community, will be featured as one of the months in the upcoming 2012 calendar to be released early next year. The publisher selects 12 courses each year from around the world to be part of this calendar and it is an incredible honor for Black Rock to have been chosen among all the amazing courses in the world.
Encompassing nearly 700 acres, The Club at Black Rock is a private golf community overlooking Lake Coeur d’ Alene. When people think of The Club, the first thing that comes to mind is world-class private golf. And rightfully so. Architect Jim Engh has created a masterful course that makes inspiring use of what Mother Nature has already provided—including the black basalt rock formations from which Black Rock gets its name. This, in addition to jaw-dropping views of Lake Coeur d’ Alene, was enough to earn the illustrious title of Golf Digest’s Best New Private course of 2003 as well as the current rank of Number 27 on the Top 100 Courses in America list by Golf Digest.
